Ways to Help Reduce Your Anxiety
Anxiety is a naturally occurring emotion and actually can have some helpful uses. Without some amount of anxiety we wouldn't be motivated to get up and go to work on time, take the sometimes difficult steps needed to maintain relationships, or do the work to pursue our goals. However, too much anxiety can cause equally debilitating symptoms, such as feeling mentally-paralyzed, panicked, or on edge all the time. Sometimes people try to handle the anxiety on their own or try to shut out the anxiety through alcohol, drugs, or sleep. However, when anxiety gets to these levels, self medicating and shutting down only makes things worse. The following are some signs that anxiety is starting to reach high levels in your life and ways to help treat it in healthy ways.
